FEP Students Send Their Best Wishes To The Hawthorns!!

By April 8, 2020 Education News

During the 2019/20 season, some of our FEP 2nd year Scholars have been taking it in turns to visit The Hawthorns Retirement Village to engage with some of the residents on Tuesday mornings. The opportunity was set up by our VLUK Tutor Andy Ellis and amongst other things, the scholars will take part in a number of activities with some of the residents, including playing cards, pool/snooker and even a spot of indoor curling! We think the FEP Scholars have enjoyed it there as much as the residents!!

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has obviously meant that the scholars have not been able to visit for the last month. However, that hasn’t stopped the residents being very much in their thoughts. Over the last week or so some of them have produced their own short messages for the residents and these have been put together into a short video, which was sent over earlier this week.

We all send our very best wishes to all the amazing residents and staff at The Hawthorns and we hope to be able to visit you again soon!!
